Back in the day, getting a client on the telly……

As a company, we have organised PR and Press for a lot of different things, from dogs shows to rock bands. One of the most off the wall was this driving club.  Having had fairly extensive experience of driving off road over the years, I was involved with PR and was a member of the executive committee of the Green Lane Association a group set up to use unsurfaced roads in a sensible and enjoyable way.  The group asked if I could get them a “Media Presence” to help fight lane closures.

The result was magazine and newspaper coverage, BBC and ITV local TV and radio and this. I got in contact with Granada TV’s Men and Motors Channel and had the great enjoyment of taking the then fledgling reporter Richard Hammond for his first taste of off tarmac driving.
